Beckoning
Ancient love from worlds away
Come to me in Winter's day
Wake me from this whitest sleep
Sow yourself that I may reap-
The splendid senses singing wild
The saucy secrets of the child
The aching ecstasy in bloom
When feast and famine each consume
Lift me into worlds unknown
Beyond the careful, cautious zone
Take me where the air is thin
To worlds beyond and worlds within
Hold me in your spell divine
Turn my water into wine
Feel me, know me, see me whole
Embrace me body, mind and soul
Enter where no light has dared
Cross shadowed sights untouched, unshared
Awaiting dawns unveiling hand
To shed the blanket from the land
Reveal those forests of the night
Encouraging the sheer delight
Let joy sweep though this earthly mass
Oh, lusty manchild, this way pass
