Ode To Willow Tree
Willow tree, yield to me
Let the winds of my love
Blow through your leaves
Let me stretch you to the sky
And to your earthly core
Beautiful Willow tree
Your sadness sweeps my heart green
I watch you
I know you
I want to climb you
Will you break
With the weight and force of me?
I want to dance around you
I want to see the birds play with you
To nest in your arms and chest
I want to touch you
Feel your leaves between my fingers
Stretch my palms across your body
To know each notch and curve
In a single moment
Never to be again
To touch each moment
For the first time forever
I am a child again now
A wise child
Who knows you
And remembers
Sweet willow tree
I should like to wear you
In my hair
A garland, a crown of glorious fun
I'll parade and then perch myself
Upon your knee, you tree
Or shall I savor
A bowl of your leaves?
Yes
You laugh
You take pleasure in my pleasure
You give of me yourself
I give to you myself
