Then left me when my heart said yes
You treasured me and I felt rich
Then nothing came, then even less

You wanted me then got your fill
You chased me when I'd run from you
But now I run and you stand still
I hate you and your tepid look
I loved you when your heart was full
I read you like a cherished book
Whose pages I must now annul
